  • Hacks
A new optional bug fix patch has been added to the downloadable file.
  • Hacks
Update to Version 1.98a. Added chillyfeez's fix to the the Adamant Grotto so that it won't rip you off with Pink Tails. Fixed typos (Mysidian Elder before Mt Ordeals, Rosa's mother) (Thanks PersonWithTime)
  • Games
Swapped the primary and alternative names. The original Japanese title should be used first with the translated title used as an alternate. The original name of the rom has been made the primary name. Kinda odd that the Japanese title makes more sense than the supposed translated title, but I didn't make the names I just swapped them lol.
  • Games
Just another name swap. The Japanese name is "Lipple Island" and I figure it should be the primary name and the translated name "Ripple Island" should be the alternative. :)

Hisou Kihei X-SERD is out!

06 November 2016 12:07PM EST - Update by celcion

Translations News - RHDN Project Page

Hisou Kihei X-SERD is a companion game to Vixen 357 (or, technically speaking, a prequel). It was released on the PC-Engine in 1990. It’s quite good in its own right, and plays quite similarly to Vixen. We’re pretty much done with the patch, but if you have any suggestions/find something we missed (although this hopefully shouldn’t be the case) let us know.

So, without further ado, have fun!

Saturn version of Policenauts now in English!

25 October 2016 10:54PM EST - Update by JunkerHQ

Translations News - RHDN Project Page

This is an English language translation patch for the Saturn version of Policenauts (1996), a visual novel written and directed by Hideo Kojima and the spiritual successor to his earlier game Snatcher.

It’s the final and most complete version of the game. Its new features include an in-game glossary, light gun support, new scenes, new shots, and new dialogue, as well as an updated translation (based on the PlayStation version patch). Please refer to the readme file for a complete list of differences.

The project began in 2009, shortly after the release of the PlayStation version patch. It’s well worth checking out for fans of the game, Kojima fans, and those interested in near-future sci-fi adventures!

Famicom GO game, Igo: Kyuu Roban Taikyoku now in English!

22 October 2016 9:31PM EST - Update by mrrichard999

Translations News - RHDN Project Page

For fans of the traditional ancient Chinese game Go, here is an English translation for the Famicom game, Igo: Kyuu Roban Taikyoku. This game uses the simple 9 x 9 board grid so it is a nice introduction to the game for those starting out playing this board game. The objective of Go — as the translation of its name implies, is to fully surround a larger total area of the board than the opponent. Hope everyone enjoys this one!

Lunatic Dawn: Passage of the Book Translation

21 October 2016 7:34AM EST - Update by MeshGearFox

Translations News - RHDN Project Page

This is an English translation of Artdink’s Lunatic Dawn: Passage of the Book, which serves as a sequel/remake to Lunatic Dawn: Book of Futures, the translation of which was released here some months back.

Originally released for Windows PCs in 1997, Lunatic Dawn: Passage of the Book is open world dungeon crawler, somewhat along the lines of MicroProse’s classic RPG Darklands, but with some unique (and uniquely Artdink) twists of its own. For instance, the primary translator for this project, Helly, noted situations in which your party members could get annoyed with you, leave your party, start doing quests on their own, get married and have children, and take out some of the bosses instead of you.

Updated to run on modern PCs around 2007, it was finally made available to Western audiences via Steam in early 2015, albeit in an untranslated state. This project started shortly thereafter to rectify the lack of a translation for the Steam version.

While this translation is still being regarded as a beta – there are a lot of random elements, obscure events, and, as noted above, things that can go off the rails, all of which complicate testing – it should be fully playable.
