Sutte Hakkun English translation released!

10 November 2017 2:26AM EST - Update by Raccoon Sam

Translations News - RHDN Project Page

Almost exactly 20 years after its release and 10 years after the development on the first iteration of the translation, Sutte Hakkun (NP) has been translated by Raccoon Sam, a long-time fan of the series and a casual ROM hacker.

Sutte Hakkun is a cute but extremely difficult puzzle platformer developed by IndiesZero. There are a variety of event BS-X versions, along with a version released for the Nintendo Power SFC Memory service - commonly known as “Sutte Hakkun NP” or “Sutte Hakkun cartridge version.” The Satellaview versions remain untranslated and this translation is for the cartridge retail release.

99% of the script was translated by Veal Gins, the ending screens by an anonymous poster on 4chan, and all of the hacking was done by Raccoon Sam.

Although there are some small translation errors and questionable grammar here and there, the hack is pretty much a complete translation.

This is the author’s first real ROM hack release. Although the translation is done, the game still has big hacking potential because of an unusually neat pseudo-filesystem found in the ROM – for more info, click the Relevant Link.
