Rohrleitung Gate - Action-puzzle SMB1 hack

13 September 2016 10:27PM EST - Update by w7n

ROM Hacks News - RHDN Project Page

Rohrleitung Gate is an action-puzzle SMB1 hack, with references to the anime Steins;Gate. With new mechanics like 2-way scrolling and shells revealing coin blocks & breaking bricks, this hack is a different experience from your usual ‘jump to the right to win’ hack. Only for players familiar with the SMB engine though. (This hack also features some very advanced ASM enhancements, albeit underdeveloped.)

Super Pitfall 30th Anniversary Edition

05 September 2016 8:30PM EST - Update by nesrocks

ROM Hacks News - RHDN Project Page

Pitfall and Pitfall II are reknowned classics for the Atari 2600, but like any family, there’s always that weird cousin. The Pitfall family has that cousin, and its name is Super Pitfall. Without the involvment of the original creator David Crane, Micronics gave birth to this game on the NES and included a slew of bugs and design flaws.

The game turned 30 years old as of recently. In celebration for its birthday, nesrocks decided to give the game a major facelift. New graphics, music, a save feature, and more! Definitely a hack worth checking out. It’s even David Crane approved!

Star Cruiser (SMD) - Public Beta is Out!

03 September 2016 2:31AM EST - Update by cccmar

Translations News

Star Cruiser is a first-person action role-playing game developed by Arsys Software and released in Japan for the PC-88 and Sharp X1 home computers in 1988. The game was ported by Arsys Software to the NEC PC-98 and Sharp X68000 computer platforms in 1989, and then ported by Masaya (NCS) to the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis home console in 1990.

The version we chose to work on is, as you could easily guess by the headline, the SMD version. The game is notable for its 3D polygon graphics, a really good, catchy soundtrack and a fairly interesting plot filled with unexpected occurrences and twists of fate.

We decided to go with the open beta for a variety of reasons (we’re going to release a complete patch later down the road). There were some issues with pointers, so some parts may have ended up getting mixed in the process. We also need some help with certain parts of the script, and we may have missed some tiny bits of text. Should you want to help, click the Relevant Link, grab the patch and report all the issues that you can find to either me or celcion. Thanks for attention and have fun!
