Translations: dejap.com dead, update your links!

Update By: Matthew Callis

Dejap.com was sold a few days ago and I was outbid at the end. It is now a PS3 spam site. I have setup a mirror for prosperity's sake at http://dejap.eludevisibility.org/. If you have linked to dejap.com before, please update your links away from the spam site.

And there goes the site of my favorite translation group. And what a shame that it has become a PS3 spam site too. Well this certainly sucks. Thanks for the heads up. I had that site in my favorites folder for a long time... :(

I can only hope any remaining games are treated well if taken up. :(

Sucks, but at least the site has been preserved and moved.

Let DeJap remain in our hearts, for the translations they have given to us all.

The most annoying thing is that Google will bring up the PS3 spam site if you type in "Dejap"

On the other hand, people who use Firefox or other internet protection software will receive warnings and they won't be able to go to that site because it's a spam domain.

Well I am sure to say that botnets are likely to get a hold of it too, knowing how many computers are still unpatched, but overall lets hope ZSNES will know ahead of time about this.

It'll drop in the ratings, especially if everyone remembers to change their links and the new site is linked to under the Dejap name in many different places.  (If you have a blog or webpage, put it on there somewhere, even just in the corner!)

And while we're on the subject, Dejap.

What the heck happened to Dejap anyway? I mean the team. They just moved on? They sort of just disappeared after the Star Ocean release.

This should basically explain it:

Well ever since that happened, ChrisRPG passed away not long ago since this note of Dejap being dead was made, but now it looks like Damarsman and the Dragon Quest mediawiki group with Dragons Den and This site, the projects have been taken over, and will be a beggening of a new group, but that is just my thoughts of it.

I haven't heard from DF pretty much since I made that post, but then again we weren't exactly chat buddies when not talking about Star Ocean. 8p Mainly a "business" relationship.

He seemed fine to me when I met him around that time, and I have no doubt he's doing well by himself, just retired from ROMhacking.

I quite liked the PSP port; the only problem is that it plays almost identically to SO2, meaning I have to wait a while between playing the two games since it's like playing one huge game with the same system.
