And I forget to fix the version number which is actually 1.8

The target ROM info was wrong. Patch is meant to be applied to Phantasy Star II (USA, Europe), NOT the (Rev A). How do I know that? Wayback machine, they used to distribute the patched rom. It matches MD5 checksum when NOT using the (Rev A) rom.

Skuld no Bug Taiji Game

PC

Game Description:

This is one of those mindless games that you play when you’re really supposed to be doing something else. Kinda like Minesweeper or Solitaire. Except, this game has some nice anime graphics, and it’s actually kinda fun. The game features Skuld from Aa! Megami-sama!!, which is likely among a vast plethora of anime that I don’t know thing one about. Anyway, you move her about with your keyboard or mouse and smack bugs with a mallet. It doesn’t get any more mindless than that. And anything mindless is OK by me.

Translation Description:

This is a translated version of the Skuld’s Bug Bashing Game mini-game found on the Oh My Goddess! Windows 95 CD-ROM. It was previously released in 1998 and subsequently lost from the Internet.

For the most part, this is simple a resource translation to convert the menus and titlebar to English.

The game can be played with a keyboard or mouse. You move Skuld left and right and swing her hammer to smash bugs in the Yggdrasil system. It’s fairly simple and fairly fun.

The disc the game came on has been out of print since 1997.
