Super CV IV - CV 1 & 3 Font and HUD

Hack of Super Castlevania IV

Description:

This is a hack which changes the HUD and font to match that of Castlevania 1 & 3. The palette was also changed for the font.

Big thanks to RedGuy for creating the SC4ED level editor which decompressed the graphics and allowed the editing of palettes and made this hack possible.

A hack which adds a few things to make this game closer to Castlevania 1 can be found here.

How very interesting!

Does what it says it does, and gives you simple 2-patch options that are clearly labeled and work well.

I liked the HUD from CV1, myself, and don’t understand why people felt it was necessary to change this patently unbroken mechanic.

Now it feels like a remade Castlevania 1. :)

Go ahead and install it on your copy of Castlevania 4, it can’t hurt.
