Description:

Retroid is a Game Boy game based on the classic arcade game that was originally published as Breakout by Atari and later brought to perfection as Arkanoid by Taito. The goal of this project was to create a Game Boy game that meets the technical standards of (early) commercial Game Boy titles, using only a few very basic development tools.

Retroid features:

  • 20 Levels
  • 5 Level Designs
  • 6 Bonus Items (plus 1 Malus Item)
  • 8 Beautiful Chiptunes
  • Epic Boss Battle
  • Secret Cheat Code
  • Ending Sequence / Staff Roll

A simple, but fun game.

Retroid is yet another clone of the popular arcade game Breakout, which later became a series known as Arkanoid. However, this shouldn’t discourage anyone from trying out this game, as those who do will quickly find out that it’s actually quite enjoyable. Retroid features fun classic Breakout style gameplay, amazing music and interesting powerups that can randomly drop when certain tiles are hit. So if you’re looking for a quick, simple and pleasant game to pass the time playing, look no further than Retroid.
