LaSalle Ishii is a parody RPG for the Famicom. In the game, you play as a Manager of the real-life Idol group called Childs, working for real-life TV producer LaSalle Ishii’s talent agency. With the band, you can perform concerts at the various town halls. You must also prevent the Idols’ Fumando (dissatisfaction percentage) from reaching 100 by making careful decisions throughout the game.
Stardom Warriors is the Woolsey Fan Company’s second localization. It attempts to recreate what an official release would have looked like back in the day of the Nintendo Entertainment System.
Nintendo of America would have likely run into copyright issues with the celebrities featured within the game, so they were omitted. Several changes were made to accommodate this. The celebrity inserts would have held no meaning for a majority of the American audience anyway.
The WFC also mostly adhered to NoA’s content policies, so localization changes were made. This ensures that, had Stardom Warriors actually been released officially, it would’ve gotten an “E for Everyone” rating.
Polinym of the WFC also followed the same translation style of his previous localization, making the dialogue flow naturally rather than sounding like dry subtitles.
Also included is the “Manager’s Handbook”, an unofficial imitation of a “Nintendo Player’s Guide”, created exclusively for the USA version to help players get through the game.
Because the original game was intended as a parody of Dragon Quest, the WFC recreated this feeling in the USA version by incorporating elements inspired by Dragon Warrior for the NES (This is especially prominent in the opening).
Note: This translation does not attempt to compete with any official release, especially since no attempts have ever been made to even consider localization this game.

Silly and fun "new" old RPG!Reviewed By: ReverendBeastly on 20 Jan 2020
This is the first fan translation I have played, and I have to say, this was an amazing effort! I would never have guessed it was fan-made if I didn’t already know. The tone and humor in the localization were right on point. After reading a bit about the original game, I’m thankful that this version is localized as much as it is (I’d much rather the idol group get thirsty and need water than pee their pants and need a new diaper). The gameplay itself feels just challenging enough, and considering I’m not the greatest gamer, it was a great pleasure to be able to play the game start to finish without frustration.
